Apple is making a couple of significant changes to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max this year. For starters, they’re built out of Grade 5 Titanium with a slightly designed contour that will make the devices more comfortable to hold for long durations of time. Apple has made a change to the Mute switch with a customizable Action button which can be used to trigger shortcuts or activate accessibility features other features.
Comparison with Older Models
Apple is making their iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max look very similar to last year’s phones, with slimmer edges around their beautiful displays. That makes them more comfortable and ergonomic handle, even though the larger phones still weigh a lot.
The most significant difference is the addition of the A17 Pro chip on the Pro models. It offers approximately 10% more efficiency than previous chips. It is due to the process for manufacturing 3nm however, it is also due to microarchitectural and design improvements.
The Pro models come with certain features unique to them, such as USB-C support for higher speeds of transfer. This makes it possible for ProRes to be recorded directly onto external drives. This is appealing to creators of video. This TrueDepth front camera also has a few upgrades, and it can produce 4K video at 60 frames per second for HDR display on any external device. There’s also the new Digital AV Multiport Adapter which allows you to connect HDMI monitors as well as standard USB devices.
Upgrades
iPhone 15 Pro Max has packed it with features that have enriched the iPhone 15 Pro Max with some solid upgrades, despite keeping it largely similar in size to earlier models. The iPhone 15 Pro Max offers a ton of features compared to previous models. It includes night Mode, Spatial video (which uses the ultra-wide and main cameras to collect depth information that can be viewed on Apple Vision Pro), enhanced low-light performance, Smart HDR, as well as next-gen portraits.
